India's largest domestic airline to spend $US26bn on new planes

IndiGo, the largest domestic carrier in India by market share, is set to buy 250 new A320neo aircraft, with a list price topping US$26 billion.

The source of the funding for the new investment has not been disclosed, but the airline has already purchased  280 aircraft from Airbus Industries in the last 10 years. IndiGo already accounts for nearly 40% of domestic passenger traffic in one of the world’s fastest growing air industries. Read more: timesofindia.indiatimes.com
