Strikes could delay opening of all-night Tube service
London’s 24-hour weekend Tube service, which is due to begin on 12 September, could be delayed. London Underground has been hit by strike action in recent weeks, with 24-hour walkouts also planned for 25 and 27 August.
Observers say the strikes could delay the start of the new service, and London Mayor Boris Johnson has said he is ‘not fussed’ if the service started late, as long as it begins in the autumn. London Underground is still officially aiming for a 12 September start date. Read more: bbc.co.uk
