Windfall for locals as mystery money floats into Mumbai
Residents of Mumbai had an expected windfall today as Rs 1000 notes were spotted bobbing in the ocean around the Gateway of India.
Many people dived into the murky waters of Mumbai harbour to retrieve the bills, which are worth more than the monthly income of many people living in India’s most populous city.
