Matterhorn claims the lives of two Japanese climbers
Two Japanese climbers have been found dead on the Matterhorn in Switzerland, three days after they ran into trouble scaling the mountain.
The two men, both in their 60s, ran into bad weather on the descent from the summit and were unable to make their way to the shelter hut at 4003 metres. A Polish climber discovered one body on Sunday evening and a police search later discovered the second man’s body. Read more: thelocal.ch
