Massive display of shooting stars to light up northern hemisphere

Stargazers in the US  and the rest of the northern hemisphere are in for a treat this week as astronomy experts are predicting the best display of shooting stars in five years.

The annual Perseid meteor shower will be leaving twinkly streaks in the night sky from 13 of July to 26 August, but will peak this week in a moonless sky making conditions the best since 2010. Over 100 shooting stars an hour should be visible, especially after midnight when the strongest showings begin. Read more: cnn.com
