Vueling airline suffers Barcelona baggage disaster
Up to 3000 Vueling passengers have been affected by a back-up of stranded baggage at Barcelona’s El Prat airport.
Since Tuesday, the budget airline has been struggling to reunite owners with 2000 pieces of luggage. It hopes to clear the backlog by the weekend. Union officials have accused the airline of not hiring enough staff during an anticipated peak travel period; the airline says a chain reaction of events is to blame for the problem.
