Eyes now on Western Nepal as scientists warn of earthquake potential
After the devastating earthquakes in April and May, Nepal has been warned that the western part of the country is at risk of further tremors.
The Main Himalayan Thrust fault near Kathmandu slipped during the recent earthquakes, but the force of the tremor has increased tension further west along the fault, in the region between Pokhara and Delhi. There are no reports that a new quake is imminent, but scientists have advised people resident in this area to take steps to earthquake-proof their houses. Read more: bbc.co.uk
