Delayed pedestrian bridge completed in Copenhagen

After a two-year delay, a new bridge for cyclists and pedestrians has been completed in Copenhagen.

Dubbed ‘the kissing bridge’ by locals for its appearance, the new Inderhavnsbro (Inner Harbour Bridge) links the city’s Nyhavn and Christianshavn districts, and is intended to make commuting easier for pedestrians and the thousands of cyclists who currently have to use the heavily-trafficked Knippelsbro. The bridge has yet to undergo extensive testing before it can open to the public and is one of several new cycle – and pedestrian-friendly crossings planned for the city in the coming years.
