New Zealand’s new driver safety training package

In an effort to curb the number of accidents, negative publicity, and vigilante incidents on the road in New Zealand, the government has produced an online training module for travel agents in seven languages.

New Zealanders want to make sure overseas visitors have a safe and enjoyable time in New Zealand and be sure they are sharing the road with confident, informed drivers. Tourism New Zealand also announced it will be giving every visitor from China a road safety leaflet as soon as the visa is issued. Visiting drivers should check out drivesafe.org.nz.
