Snorkeller dies after horror clash with windsurfer in Canary Islands
A Russian woman has died after her throat was slashed when she collided with a windsurfer while snorkelling in waters off the Canary Islands.
The 32-year-old was snorkelling without a buoy, which is legally required to help identify where snorkellers are in the water. It is thought that she had drifted into water space reserved for pleasure craft at the time of the collision. The windsurfer, a Swedish tourist, was taken to hospital after suffering an anxiety attack following the tragedy. Read more: telegraph.co.uk
