Crowd-funded hobbit holes to be built in England

A glamping company in Kent has received planning permission to build hobbit-hole houses.

The ‘Poddit’ holes will be crowd-funded, and will be built into a grassy bank in a forest in West Stow. They will sleep up to five people in a Victorian-style interior with a log burner and two double bedrooms, and building will be supervised by a member of the Tolkien society to ‘ensure authenticity’.
