Google Street View captures Mongolia via backpack camera

Google has added Mongolia as the latest destination available on its Street View service.

Street View photographers used the standard off-road vehicle to traverse the country’s roads and the Gobi Desert, however many of Mongolia’s landscapes proved too remote even for an SUV. The remotest landscapes were captured by a trekker carrying the 360-degree camera in a backpack. Asia’s largest freshwater lake, Khuvsgul Lake, was photographed when frozen solid by utilising a horse-drawn sleigh. Read more: news.sky.com
