Early Monday evening local time, Barbados residents felt three more tremors of seismic activity, the latest in a series of earthquakes in the region.
Last Thursday a quake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale could be felt across the Caribbean, and since then, the region has experienced several more minor tremors measuring 3.8 or less. The latest events measured 4.3, 4.5 and 4.0. In light of concerns from locals that the series of quakes could be leading up to a larger event, the Seismic Research Center does not believe that the events indicate such a pattern.
