Sources have told eTN that the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has reached an agreement with the nation’s government to excise 216 more acres of land from the Nairobi National Park for the building of a railway.
This land is in addition to the 90 acres already allocated to complete the planned Southern Bypass Highway. Some conservationists are up in arms, while others believe the KWS has negotiated some 1000 acres of land to be added to another section of the park. Read more: eturbonews.com
