Iran tourism numbers expected to rocket

Following this week’s historic nuclear deal, which promises to lift economic sanctions on Iran, the country’s tourism industry looks set to boom.

Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organisation have said they aim to have 20 million visitors a year by 2025. Already a number of large hotel chains have announced they plan to develop properties in Iran, while speculation over how long it will take McDonald’s to reach Iran has reached fever pitch.
