Disneyland California celebrates it's 60th birthday with a light show
Exactly 60 years ago, on 17 July 1955, Disneyland opened to the public in Anaheim, California.
The park was Disney’s first, and although admission prices have gone up quite a lot since then ($1 plus additional fees for each ride in 1955, to around $100 today), its popularity shows no signs of waning. Special events to mark the diamond anniversary include a lightshow and the chance to purchase celebration-related merchandise. Read more: disneyland.disney.go.com
