Cold weather and intense rain storms have affected 30,000 people in Brazil’s southern states of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
The National Institute of Meteorology has issued a high danger alert in the states, warning residents of the risk of flooding, landslides, lightning and hail.
