Lion Park ceases cub petting and interactions

The Lion Park in Gauteng has announced that from early next year it will cease breeding lions and offering lion cub interactions.

The Lion Park said the decision was made due to the negative media coverage and the ongoing campaigns linking these activities with the controversial practice of canned hunting. The timing of the changes will be in line with the private park’s move into the foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountains. Read more: tourismupdate.co.za
