Moscow has replaced Paris as the European capital with most shopping centre space.
According to Jones Lang LaSalle, a real estate consultancy, Moscow has 4.53 million sq m of shopping centre retail space while Paris has 4.5 million sq m. Six shopping centres have opened in Moscow so far in 2015, despite the economic crisis in Russia. There are predictions that the recession and loss of spending power will lead to more online shopping and growth of smaller shopping centres in Russia. Read more: themoscowtimes.com
