Colombian girl survives in jungle for 18 days

Seven-year-old Jessica Patricia Arias, who went missing while collecting coconuts with her parents in Colombia’s Tayrona National Park, has been found alive after surviving 18 days in the jungle.

A search was conducted by land and air and Arias was found dehydrated and moderately malnourished in an abandoned hut after someone made an anonymous call. Injuries on the girl’s feet indicated that she may have walked long distances. Read more: bbc.com
