Spanish air strikes set to hit summer flights

Air traffic controllers across Spain are threatening to hold two weekends of strikes in July, which could cause further chaos for thousands of holidaymakers.

Controllers have already held mini-strikes throughout June when they walked out for short periods of time over a number of days. The latest strikes are planned for this weekend (11 to 12 July) and the weekend of 25 to 26 July, however air traffic control bosses said they would aim to run 80% of services throughout the strikes.
