Dramatic rise in pickpocketing in Sweden

Reported cases of pickpocketing in Sweden have risen by over 38% since 2000, according to the Swedish Crime Prevention Council. The agency says that this is a huge rise, and that the figures aren’t in line with the increase in population over the same period.
