Last week, Jet Blue began offering a charter route to Havana, Cuba from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport, and it is now the first major carrier to offer the route since US travel restrictions were relaxed earlier this year. The service was announced in May after a visit to the country by New York governor Andrew Cuomo, and it can be booked via Cuba Travel Services. Jet Blue already offers four other weekly flights from Tampa and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood. The new flight service operates on Fridays.
