12,000 torchbearers to carry Rio's Olympic flame

With less than 400 days left until the 2016 Summer Olympics begin, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has revealed the torch that will be used at the games in Rio de Janeiro. The torch relay will begin in Brasilia, the country’s capital, and end at the opening ceremony in Rio’s Maracana stadium on 5 August. In the next few months, the Olympics organizing committee and sponsors will choose 12,000 torchbearers to carry the flame through 300 cities around the country. Read more: bbc.com
