Indonesian authorities have raised the alert level after Mount Raung in East Java erupted on Sunday evening local time.
The eruption was reportedly heard 20kms away, with ash falling in villages about ten kilometres away from the summit. Authorities have cordoned off a two-kilometre radius around the 3,332m volcano, and raised the alert level to ‘Siaga’, the second highest level. Read more: channelnewsasia.com
