Twenty countries will now be able to visit Kazakhstan without obtaining a visa beforehand, it was announced yesterday.
The ten-country pilot scheme, which has been trialled since 2014, was due to expire at the end of July. The new scheme will extend the visa-free program for at least two years and be expanded to include a further ten countries. Though designed largely to benefit investors, the scheme has had happy results for tourists, who can stay in the country for between 14 and 90 days, depending on their nationality.
