North Sumatra capital Medan covered in volcanic ash

Volcanic ash from Indonesia’s smoldering Mount Sinabung has blanketed parts of Medan, Indonesia’s third-largest city, forcing residents to wear masks. Reports indicate the ash carried by winds towards the city of 3.4 million people has yet to seriously disrupt daily life, with flight operations as yet unaffected. Read more: usnews.com
