US National Trust reveals most endangered sites

Eleven historic sites across the US have been declared endangered in a new survey. The National Trust for Historic Preservation released their list this week, the latest in a series of lists dating back to 1988, in the hope that the places mentioned on it will get the attention they need to preserve them. The sites included are an eclectic mix, ranging from scenic wonders like the Grand Canyon to notable buildings like the Old US Mint in San Francisco and the Alabama motel where Martin Luther King Jr. was shot.
