Jazz metal band perform on Norway's Trolltunga

Norwegian jazz metal band Shining have brought a new meaning to to the phrase ‘rock concert’ after they played a gig on Trolltunga (The Troll’s Tongue), one of the most famous rocks in Norway. The well-photographed landmark sticks out over a 700-metre-high precipice above the lake Ringedalsvatnet, near Odda. The band thrilled over 300 fans, some of whom had travelled from as far afield as Australia, when they were helicoptered in to perform on Sunday. The band’s guitarist said, “I have never felt more Norwegian.” Read more: thelocal.no
