Australian tourists allege Taser attacks by security officials in Bali

A group of 16 Melbourne men celebrating a buck’s night in Bali were allegedly pistol-whipped, Tasered and extorted by officials who threatened them with a 10-year jail sentence. Reports indicate that armed private security guards busted in on the group’s private dinner at a restaurant in Seminyak, where a stripper was performing with the manager’s permission. After more 24 hours in custody, two of the men were sent to withdraw about 250 million Indonesian rupiah to pay a bribe to secure the group’s release. Most of the men have vowed never to return to the holiday island following their ordeal. Read more: news.com.au
