Sixteen pass out from heat on Cairo Metro

Cairo‘s metro was so hot and overcrowded yesterday that 16 passengers passed out. The underground train broke down between Mohamed Naguib and Al-Sadat stations in downtown Cairo, and the extreme heat in the carriage led to a number of people fainting. Four were hospitalised and another 12 needed immediate medical assistance. The metro is beset with technical problems and is often jam-packed during rush hours. Read more: dailynewsegypt.com
