Air New Zealand agrees code share with Air India

New Zealand and India will enjoy better connections today after the announcement of an airlines code sharing arrangement. Around 90,000 people travel between India and New Zealand every year with that number growing. The New Zealand tourism industry is also likely to benefit from increased flow from India’s growing middle class travellers. For other travellers it will also mean cheaper flights between New Zealand and the UK and Europe with the potential to stopover New Delhi or to access other Indian airports. The two countries are currently negotiating a free trade agreement and better airlinks are good for business. Read more: stuff.co.nz
