Cambodia lodges protest over Indian Angkor 'copy'

A large temple complex to be built in India that is slated to look like Angkor Wat has raised concerns in Cambodia, prompting the Cambodian government to lodge an appeal that construction be stopped. In its protest, Cambodia has stated that the planned temple ‘violates’ Angkor’s world heritage. There are also concerns about the commercial impact of the existence of a ‘replica’ Angkor Wat.
