France drops bullfighting from cultural heritage

France  has made the decision to take the tradition of La Corrida, bullfighting, off the country’s Unesco list of intangible heritage. It was added to the French Ministry of Culture’s list in 2011 amid much controversy and animal rights campaigners see this removal as a step in the right direction. Though, it doesn’t look like bullfighting will be banned in France any time soon. Read more: thelocal.fr
