Controversial sculpture causes consternation in Versailles

A huge sculpture by British-Indian artist, Anish Kapoor, installed in the gardens at Versailles in France has caused a stir. Part of an exhibition of Kapoor’s six installations at Versailles, is a ‘vagina’ taking power – a huge steel funnel surrounded by broken rocks titled ‘Dirty Corner’. It’s unclear which queen the artist is referring to but people have made guesses that it’s Marie-Antoinette. The exhibition is due to open to the public on 9 June. Read more: theguardian.com
