FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off in Canada

On Saturday the FIFA Women’s World Cup begins in Canada. Taking place in six cities across the country, the tournament – the largest female sporting event in the world – will pit 24 countries against each other to decide the best female football team on the planet. The USA team is an underdog favourite, having lost to Japan in the finals in 2011, continuing its 16-year-long failure to win a trophy. Read more: abcnews.go.com
