Norwegian passengers endure 70-hour delay on SF to Oslo flight

Norwegian Airlines almost made the record books for the wrong reasons this week after a flight from San Francisco to Oslo was delayed for 70 hours. The flight’s 250 passengers were left stranded after problems with one of the company’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The company has only five of the aircraft in its fleet, meaning that it lacks the ‘back-up’ aircraft, or appropriate staff on the ground, when things go wrong. The flight eventually took off on Tuesday afternoon, stopping at Reykjavik, Iceland, to change planes. Read more: thelocal.no
