Rome’s Palazzo Quirinale throws open doors

From 23 June, the magnificent Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome, which until recently was only open to the public on Sundays, will be open every day except for Mondays and Thursdays. Italy’s presidential palace, which was formerly the papal summer residence, is home to a host of treasures, including the sumptuous Pauline Chapel and a large collection of rare tapestries. As part of the new opening, guided tours of the palace will be doubled in length. Read more: ansa.it
