Prince Charles establishes foundation to protect Transylvanian heritage

Britain’s Prince Charles, who is on a private visit to his estate in Transylvania, has announced that he is establishing the Prince of Wales Foundation in this part of Romania. It will be based in the Saxon village of Viscri, where Prince Charles owns an estate. Its focus will be on heritage protection, including the revival of rural arts and crafts, and promotion of sustainability in agricultural and educational activities. This is the first foundation established by Prince Charles outside the British Commonwealth. He is particularly fond of Transylvania, and after Viscri he will visit the village of Valea Zalanului, where he also has a country house. Read more: hungarytoday.hu
