Pot-friendly hotel opens in Denver

A new hotel in downtown Denver is taking advantage of Colorado’s lax marijuana laws. The Nativ Hotel features amenities you would expect to see in luxury hotels – including a bar with over 20 craft beers on tap and rooms stocked with large-format HDTVs and jacuzzis – but with one twist: pot smoking is allowed on the premises. Eight of the hotel’s 16 rooms allow smoking on outdoor balconies (Colorado laws still prohibit smoking inside), and a coffee bar serves up drinks infused with cannabidiol (the active ingredient in marijuana).
