Greece considers smoking schedule as ban flouted

The Greek government is considering the implementation of a time schedule for public smoking, because the country is struggling to enforce the EU’s non-smoking regulations, particularly in more remote areas. Greeks are among the heaviest smokers in Europe, and patrons are often ignoring the non-smoking rules in restaurants, cafes and bars. According to the Health Ministry’s proposal, smoking in public places would be allowed during certain hours, and prohibited for the rest of the day. Read more: greece.greekreporter.com
