Beijing airport closes smoking rooms as part of new health measures

Smoking rooms at Beijing Capital International Airport will be closed as part of new measures to limit smoking in the city. Authorities announced that smoking rooms will be replaced by 11 outdoor smoking areas in and around the airport start on 1 June. The move accompanies a new push to limit smoking in Beijing, particularly around schools, hospitals, hotels and restaurants. As part of the new regulations, offenders will face fines and a hotline has been set up for citizens to report illegal smoking. Read more: ecns.cn
