Rare sighting of killer whales in Tokyo Bay

A group of killer whales has been spotted in Tokyo Bay. Sightings of killer whales in the bay are very rare, with the whales more usually seen much further north, off the coast of Hokkaidō. The group of ‘three or four’ whales was noticed and filmed by a coast guard patrol boat, and later also sighted by a fishing boat. Authorities have issued a warning to ships in the area to avoid the whales. Read more: japantimes.co.jp
