Giant man-made ice cave opens beneath Icelandic glacier

The world’s largest man-made ice cave opens next week. Langjökull Ice Cave reaches 2,500ft into Langjökull Glacier, Iceland’s second largest icecap, and is the world’s second largest ice cave. The cave can be accessed via tours which begin with a monster truck ride up the glacier itself. Once inside, LED lighting enhances the experience and shows off the dramatic blue shades of buried ice. Chambers can be rented out for parties, and a wedding chapel is available. The cave opens on the first of June. Read more: icenews.is
