Fancy spending a night in a Lion Lodge at London Zoo?

London Zoo is planning to build nine cabins next to its lion enclosure. The huts, which are intended to be ‘evocative of holiday lodges found in the Gujarat region of India’ would be big enough for a family of four, with private wooden verandas and a shared exotic garden. Guests would enter the zoo at closing time, get a private tour from the zookeepers and dine in their cabins, before falling asleep to the sounds of the lions at night. The plan, known as ‘Project Aslan’, is awaiting planning permission. Read more: standard.co.uk
