Cabin crew sit-in enters second day in Hong Kong

A sit-in protest at Hong Kong International Airport has entered its second day as cabin crew remain on strike over pay and benefits. Several hundred Cathay Pacific crew members begain a ‘marathon sit-in’ at 5pm on Tuesday in the airport’s Terminal 1 departure hall. The strike concerns what flight attendants say are unfair partial pay rises, cuts in lunch allowances and the airline’s coverage of legal fees for incidents on duty. The strike is planned to continue until 10am Thursday. No flight delays were reported. Read more: scmp.com
