A man in Sweden has been caught on camera scaring off a brown bear by roaring at it. Ralph Persson, from Jämtland in northern Sweden, was in the forest when a bear charged him. Rather than follow the popular advice of playing dead, Persson roared loudly and waved his arms to make himself appear as big as possible – a tactic that saw the bear scarper into the trees unharmed. Bear attacks are relatively rare in Sweden, with only two fatalities in the last century. Read more: thelocal.se
