Revealed: Anthony Bourdain’s food market coming to Pier 57

Finally, after New York’s foodie community have been waiting, tongues lolling, for months it can finally be revealed where Anthony Bourdain will be building his New York-based international food hall: Pier 57. The witty chef will be taking over around 100,000 sq ft of space in the ‘SuperPier’ which is located in Manhattan’s Chelsea district and will fill it with a colorful and chaotic hawker center-style food hall. The design for the massive market will apparently be inspired by the film Blade Runner and will host around 100 food vendors and street food talent from around the world. There will also be an oyster bar, a beer garden and butchery. Read more: gothamist.com
