Aspen ski resort upgrades mountain infrastructure

Aspen Skiing Company says it has received federal approval to invest nearly $8 million in mountain infrastructure to upgrade lifts, increase snowmaking capabilities and improve trails. The company owns Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk ski areas in Aspen, Colorado. Construction will take place over the summer in time for the 2015-2016 snow season.
