Historic Athens cinema reopens after ten years

The famous Astor theatre in Athens, has reopened after a full renovation. The historic cinema first opened in 1947 and it closed in 2005. It’s now under the management of the Weird Wave distribution company, which promises to show other films too, as well as organise tributes and festivals. Two other historic cinemas in Athens, the Asty and the Attikon, are no longer operating. Read more: neoskosmos.com
